Stanley Jesse Elnaugh was a pilot with 438 Squadron. He was born in Smiths Falls, Ontario, raised in Preston, Ontario, and passed away in Kitchener, Ontario, buried in Mount Hope Cemetery, Kitchener, Ontario.
F/O S. J. Elnaugh flew 25 combat missions with No. 438 Squadron R.C.A.F. between 7-April-1945 and 4-May-1945. F/O S. J. Elnaugh was part of the BAFO in Germany serving with 412 Squadron. Post-war he returned to the Sunshine Waterloo Company which then became the SunarHauserman Company where he held many positions over his long career. He was active in the 404 KITCHENER-WATERLOO WING R.C.A.F.A.; Stan Elnaugh was one of the original building committee members with the new quarters of the 404 Wing officially opened by the Mayor of Waterloo and his representative in Kitchener and many other dignitaries on April 27, 1968 with 100 or more Wing members participating – from THE WING DING – WING & AUXILARY NEWS – 404 K-W WING R.C.A.F.A.
